Have we lost a battle?

On 26th of December exactly one month from the attack on Mumbai. Government of India issued a travel advisory to all the Indians to avoid travelling to or to be in Pakistan. After few Indian were arrested for the Lahore blast. And on the other side of the border Pakistan was constantly warning India not to attack its territory. Or it will retaliate with all its force. After all what people like us have done from last four – five years the situation is same as it was four – five years ago when we started. Have we people lost our battle against hate, terrorism, partition? And people like Arnesh who propagate hate have won this battle. Is pen really mightier than sword? Or nowadays as they use AK47 which is no sword, so pen stands no chance. What took us four years to build was destroyed in just few days. At the time when both of the countries should have come together and should have worked hard against our common enemy. Governments of both the countries were aiming there Sukois and F-16s missiles at each other. Or perhaps even more deadly weapons like words poisoned with hate. People of both sides must have heard about the proverb ‘Taali ek hath se nathi bajti’. It was the governments of the both countries which for last 60 years have propagated hate for others country. But we the common people surely do not want to see war and hate in each others eyes. We have to elect people who can propagate love and spread peace. We the people of both the countries face the same problems. And the solution is brotherhood between the people of both the countries.
Lets make a promise even if both the countries fire nukes at each other then also we will be friends. Because it is we who face the problems not those politicians who ride in Mercs and live in an air-conditioned palace. And perhaps we have lost this war but we will surely win the war in long run.

UnIndianing India

Today our Republic turns 70years. In these year we have raised ourselves from ashes of partition and hate, braved conflicts internal and external. Yet we have carried on as a republic for so long, because we stayed true to the ideals of our founding fathers. The ideas that shaped our struggle against a colonist, against the communalists. But very often did our republic find itself at the verge and it seemed the dreams that freedom fighters saw for our free nation might be too much. Last few months if not years have been like that as well. When we seem to be turning our backs to the principles that defined our country. Principles of unity in diversity. Where so many people from so many different part regions, religions speak so many languages, can live and thrive together. Where different ideas from anywhere is not frowned upon. Where one does not have to fear to speak his/her minds out. Where people from different places and religions were welcomed not just as guests but as God...

F.R.I.E.N.D.S - can’t we be……….

“At the stroke of the midnight hour when the world sleeps India will wake into a new life and freedom”. These were the words which started a new era in world history. It created our very own great nation India and two similarly great nations on world’s map. (Well I am not going to give any history or geography lessons. So go ahead and read on. It is important coz it is the title of my blog. And my first blog is a bit related to it). But world never knew about those pieces which were remnants of millions of the shattered hearts of people residing in these broken countries. The broken heart which people carried with them made forget the definition of friends and friendship. But now the time have changed. We can’t live as our grand dad and dads have lived. With our young heart, passion and energy to do something new, can’t we remember what friendship is? Will we also foolishly maintain the same legacy of hate and distrust with our neighbours? But somewhere around a voice comes to me and s...
