Thank god it’s over!

2008 what a damn year this was. From start to the end this can’t get any worse than this. Nothing good has happened this year except that Manish have called me. This is just horrible year right out of some horror movie. Thank god it’s over now or perhaps I am going to die. I just hope that next year turns out to be much better. We will surely see how Obama is going to work in his oval office. Then we have a major task ahead of us. This is really a colossus task isn’t. I don’t know whether I am going to be able to give vote. Most of my friends will be able to but it is very sad. And I am really going to miss school days. I don’t know how the college is going to be. So get good cakes and make this year really great. Wish you all a Merry Christmas and a very happy new year.

Enough is enough

I don’t know how to start. Just a few weeks ago I saw Pearl Harbor the movie. I asked myself that if something like that could have happened in India would India have also retaliated in the same way. But now I regret why I asked such a question because God has never let any of my questions unanswered. A horrible thing happened in India. And this could cause even more disasters if the anger of ours is not contained with. I in my life have never cried so much. Even when my very close relatives have died I have never cried. But I don’t know why I just can’t stop tears coming out my eyes by seeing all those. I felt like they are not burning the Taj but our India. Therefore I want a little help from you. Please publish what I have to say. Today we all have got a fire burning in our hearts let us keep that fire burning rather than extinguishing it by doing any nasty business. We have channelized this fire to win the war on terror. Not against any nation and any religion. 26th Nov 08 is a d

HEROES

Sameer Suri aka Saand and Ali Shah aka Nawab Saab are two film college students. Nawab Saab and Saand both fail to get there graduation certificate. They are told by there Principal to submit a film to get there graduation certificate. They decide to make a film on why not to join Indian Army. They meet a war reporter Akaash. He gives them three last letters of three Indian Army soldiers who have died in 1999 Kargil war. He advises them to deliver them and record the three families’ experiences. Now they begin a journey to deliver the letters to there destinations. The journey changes everything in there life. And they truly become an Indian. The film is really great a very simple story and also the way to tell that. The film unlike other patriotic films, makes you love your country but don’t make you hate some other country. (You now which country everyone makes us hate about). Even it clearly show the kind of difference India and Pakistan has. That is just a line drawn by few horribl

Back Stabbed 1

I don’t know but it seems that India has a long and still lasting tradition of being stabbed by those people whom India helps. “30th October a day t5hat will live in infamy”. Perhaps this is what FDR would have if he could be our President or perhaps not. Pearl Harbour attack or 9/11 attack on US have happened once in sixty years. But here in India not even six days passes without someone stabbing our nation in its heart, whether they are terrorists, anti-socials or even so-called civilised people. India is been constantly butchered to pieces uncountable. Perhaps these incident happens so occasionally that our honourable PM and President have to appoint all the Booker Prize winners. (I really meat that, the number is very large now.) From last few months the numbers of bomb blasts are increasing and those bad guys have made whole India what Jammu and Kashmir was few years back. I think we are behind these blasts and all. Firstly we can’t elect a responsible government to run world’s

Way to go.

How we can solve the environmental problem created by us and our ancestors? Most of us do know the answer to this but how many of us follow them. We should make it a lifestyle. Environmentalism will be what we have to incorporate in our life. I think going green is really cool. Just we have change few habits in our daily life and bingo we will be reducing a lot of carbon from atmosphere each day each minute. If you have started then don’t think yourself to be alone. That’s what I used to think before. But there are lots of people just like us. Perhaps our number is less. But we are still stronger than the majority. Because we can accept change but they can’t, a change which could be for the betterment of our tomorrow. I tell you all that one day will surely come when we will adjust ourselves to the new world very well but the so called majority they will never be able to do that. So there we come to end now. I am leaving you with few tips. And thanks for visiting. Do come again. Do tel

Electri-City

Today our life in cities are inseparable from electricity isn’t. T.V.s, PCs, mobiles, laptops, refrigerators, and blah blah blah. Just everything runs on electricity. If you still say no. Then think about the time of load shedding and if you don’t have any backup power source. Now if you think no. Then I must say you are really a good guy. But electricity is runs my PC, lights up my house and charges up the phones. So I love it but I also love to use it judiciously, to save it for future. But unfortunately not everyone loves so. Electricity is really a valuable and important resource in today’s world. We should therefore use it wisely. Save when not needed and if possible then produce too. I was doing my Environmental Education project on electricity production in India when I came to know that India produces much less amount of electricity than it needs. So we signed N-deal. Our leaders assured us that it will lead us to a better future. Not against it at all. But for how many years

Krazzy Pour

In last four years which I spent in Kolkata. I have never experienced such a horrible kind of rainfall. Just three days before pujas it stopped. Half of the pandals were left, half of the idols were left. Streets full of water. Thanks to god that there was no rain in those three days. Everyone enjoyed a lot. After all it is the biggest festivals of Bengalis. 3 Years before I didn’t believed all those prediction by scientist and geologists about changing rain pattern. Every thing was just going good. But it was monsoon it used to rain and then stop. But it was 27 July 05 which changed everything. I still remember the hooded streets of Mumbai, and all those who died there. That year Supreme Court added Environmental Education in our syllabus. And I started to recycle and reuse paper. That was what I could at time. But now I believe and search for any such warning given by those people. They have recorded a rise of rain fall in eastern India annually whereas there is a decreasing trend i

Food Force

Food it is the most important commodity in our life even today when we are living in 21st century. 16 Oct that’s today is the World Food day. Ironically this year world faced one of the worst global food crises. World food reserve went down to there lowest point in 25 years. Food prices soared. This triggered inflation in several countries from Egypt to China. Even riots in Mexico and many West African governments fell when they became unable to give foods to there people. UN even predicted that this could result in rise of terrorism and crime. But still we made through it at least sitting here in India, I feel that. But still when papa says that food prices in the market are touching the sky. I feel there are still a lot of people who are out there not getting the proper amount of food they should get. Different people from different parts of the world cited different reason for this crisis. Some said it is the over consumption of developed world and under consumption of developing wo

The Unfinished Task

2006 Aman was watching television. He was 15 years old and loved watching TV especially any programme on latest scientific issues. Then his mother called him. “Aman stop watching TV now go to the bed you have to wake up tomorrow very early. I hope you have not forgotten that your school is reopening”. But mummy let me see this. Then I will go the bed. I promise you” prayed Aman. “Ok! What are you watching?” asked his mother “They are showing a transcontinental railway tunnel system. This will become functional in 2099. Then it could transport nearly 1500 peoples per trip at a speed of 6000 km/h.” explained Aman. “Wow. But what is the use of watching this. Not you and I will be alive to see that” “But mummy I think we could all live. Because medical is improving at such pace that till the middle of this century average life expectancy will be 120-150 years’ said Aman politely. “Don’t just joke” “No, I am not joking. Just see the facts. In Stone Age average life was less than 20 years, i

Join the Hands

Now this is the time to join our hands, To fight against those who are fighting against us with wands, We can join the hand now or there will be no time again. Our forefathers have seen many wars but we want peace. First World War, then Second World War and cold war have already snatched smiles from many faces. But now this the time to bring them back those lost smiles. Now this is the time to join our hands. Now this is the time to join our hands to destroy all those things which man has given birth to. Which take birth to take life of some one. Our forefathers have seen many such thing but we want to see peace. Nuclear bomb, the Hydrogen and tsar bomb have already snatched legs from many bodies. But now this is the time to bring them those lost hands and legs. Because now this is the time to join our hands forever. Oops! I am late a bit but still. It probably is not all what a poem should be but you see I don’t have the skill and words to make a master piece. But I surely have a beat

Well I am going to for exams so I won’t be her up till 3rd of August. So I live you with this book review. Hope you like it. If you don’t like history then you shouldn’t waste money on this. It is a candid collection of riveting news-story that brings alive the history of the Indian Subcontinent after partition. Kuldip Nayar an international journalist, political commentator and author packs this book with one of the greatest events which have shaped not only India but whole Indian Subcontinent. Five Points Someone – What not to do at IIT

It is not a book to teach you how to get into IIT or even survive it. In fact it describes how bad things can get if you don’t think straight. It has been in best sellers list since its release in 2004. It is a must read for everyone. With lucid and clear account of a young wordsmith who succeeded in making this book a must read for fun of it. It is story of three friends Hari, Alok and Ryan who have just got admission to India’s most reputed institution IIT Delhi. On there first day they are ragged by there seniors. Ryan saves the two from ragging and they become friends. They study, eat and hangout together. But thanks to Ryan they only manage to get 5 points something in there G.P.A.s (exams). With that low marks they are branded as one of the poorest students. Meanwhile Hari becomes close friend of Neha. Neha is daughter of there head of department. There friendship slowly transforms into love. Hari tries to impress her father. But he fails to do so. On the other hand Alok wants to

Who are they...?

Sometimes I think of people those who have some kind of blood relationship with me and those who are very close to me. I was unable to explain why tears were rolling out uncontrollably from my eyes when an aunty living in my neighbour died few weeks ago. (Even now I am crying for her). But I never cried even a bit when my grand mom and my maternal uncle died. Perhaps I never spent that much amount of time with them. But that aunty was really close to my heart and she so good. That damn cancer its just getting up everyone and also got her. Can’t some find an answer to this crap cancer? So good that she made me realise how real aunty should be coz I never saw that kind of affection in my own aunt. She always helped my mother to fix any problems in my and my sister’s studies and any other kind of problem. She was so good that I got to invent a new word. She was so gentle and kind. I will always miss her cake and Ice-cream. As all in our neighbourhood said I taught us how to bring up child

We the People

It has been a month since that day has passed. I have not forgotten what have happened on 22nd of July. They brag on India and say ‘It is the largest democracy in the world’. Democracy means ‘we the people’ in there words ‘aam admi’. So I ask all of those who sit in that building and decide the fate of more a billion people of this world. Do they really care and respect us and for the democracy. Well each time they find ways to prove it by some way or the other that they don’t really care for each and every one. We are those people who have given the responsibility of making our lives better and making our country what our ancestors have thought it to be like. We consider them to be more responsible, more knowledgeable, more experienced and more disciplined than rest of us. Therefore we give the responsibility of running our India to them. But they do care for or not is still big question. Caring for it means respecting there very dear ‘aam admi’. The Parliament of India, the circular

F.R.I.E.N.D.S - can’t we be……….

“At the stroke of the midnight hour when the world sleeps India will wake into a new life and freedom”. These were the words which started a new era in world history. It created our very own great nation India and two similarly great nations on world’s map. (Well I am not going to give any history or geography lessons. So go ahead and read on. It is important coz it is the title of my blog. And my first blog is a bit related to it). But world never knew about those pieces which were remnants of millions of the shattered hearts of people residing in these broken countries. The broken heart which people carried with them made forget the definition of friends and friendship. But now the time have changed. We can’t live as our grand dad and dads have lived. With our young heart, passion and energy to do something new, can’t we remember what friendship is? Will we also foolishly maintain the same legacy of hate and distrust with our neighbours? But somewhere around a voice comes to me and s
