Join the Hands

Now this is the time to join our hands,
To fight against those who are fighting against us with wands,
We can join the hand now or there will be no time again.

Our forefathers have seen many wars but we want peace.
First World War, then Second World War and cold war have already snatched smiles from many faces.
But now this the time to bring them back those lost smiles.
Now this is the time to join our hands.

Now this is the time to join our hands to destroy all those things which man has given birth to.
Which take birth to take life of some one.
Our forefathers have seen many such thing but we want to see peace.
Nuclear bomb, the Hydrogen and tsar bomb have already snatched legs from many bodies.
But now this is the time to bring them those lost hands and legs.
Because now this is the time to join our hands forever.
Oops! I am late a bit but still. It probably is not all what a poem should be but you see I don’t have the skill and words to make a master piece. But I surely have a beating heart, which says stop the war make peace for us. I believe we the new generation can do this. Tear down all those walls, which separate us. We can stop the birth all those things whose birth means death for other. But we can’t do that now then again another generation would suffer what our mom and dads have suffered and we are suffering. We got join our hands and fight against those who are fighting against us – humanity. I wish a happy International Peace Day to all my readers. May “Peace and Harmony Prevail”
This is dedicated to Delhi blast victims.

Together we can

I liked the idea given by Sulakshana. Why should we all work separately and not together? After all, all of ours projects are related to climate change. We are just tackling it through different fronts. Someone is working for green building, someone in climate finance, someone in awareness etc. But my project has got best of all the worlds. So surely need the help of all you guys out there. But then the one of our Martian Mr. Raghav’s worry is very correct. What I think we should do is we should simply write about what we are doing and let the help flow in. All the things which Raghav says are true and practical. But then we have to make our project impactful. And this work cannot be done alone for sure. So we should focus our energy at not more than ten projects at a time. But surely we can pass suggestions and all to others. For example we in East Zone more precisely ICCs in and around Kolkata have 4 waste management projects so we are doing it together. I also have a waste managemen...

UnIndianing India

Today our Republic turns 70years. In these year we have raised ourselves from ashes of partition and hate, braved conflicts internal and external. Yet we have carried on as a republic for so long, because we stayed true to the ideals of our founding fathers. The ideas that shaped our struggle against a colonist, against the communalists. But very often did our republic find itself at the verge and it seemed the dreams that freedom fighters saw for our free nation might be too much. Last few months if not years have been like that as well. When we seem to be turning our backs to the principles that defined our country. Principles of unity in diversity. Where so many people from so many different part regions, religions speak so many languages, can live and thrive together. Where different ideas from anywhere is not frowned upon. Where one does not have to fear to speak his/her minds out. Where people from different places and religions were welcomed not just as guests but as God...
