Who is enemy?

Last Sunday I saw Veer-Zara. And I wondered who is responsible for Indo-Pak tensions. Who is responsible for this cold war? Who is? Now people from both sides want to stop this blood shed. Today all the problems in Pakistan and in India have been caused by our mutual suspicions. How can both the countries progress when massive amount of money is spent to find new ways of destroying each other. People of Pakistan must make sure that there democratically elected civilian must stay. And then they must ask more to do for Indo-Pak relationship. Indian people and Indian Government was never hostile, and never will be hostile to Pakistan. It was Pakistan which tests our patience every time. After all we believe in peace and non-violence.
We share just about every thing in common our culture, our history, our freedom struggle, our joy and happiness, and of course our problems. Now when both sides want to rewrite the history then who is stopping us. Perhaps those people for whom power is every thing. They can slaughter innocent people for staying in power. Whether it is a terrorist attack in India or in Pakistan these few peoples are responsible for sour relation between our beloved countries. But to fight with these people we the people of these two countries must trust each other. We all know it is easy to say than to do it in practice. But there is no other way. We are the new breed of hope for our countries and for our whole subcontinent. We can't do it no external power even though it may be a superpower can't help. We have do this difficult but very important task. I pray to God to protect us and our brothers and sisters living in our neighbouring country.
I don't know what more can I do for my country and for yours. But ready to do at least what I can do rather just sitting in home. I am starting a cross border letter writing campaign. In which school students from my previous school are going to write letters to their Pakistani counterparts. So that they can be good friends in future. Only love can defeat terrorism. That's what I believe that what I am working on. Need lot of help from this side of the border as well as from the other side. So hope that some of you will surely help me in this small campaign. Once again I pray to god to help us all in this hour of distress.

UnIndianing India

Today our Republic turns 70years. In these year we have raised ourselves from ashes of partition and hate, braved conflicts internal and external. Yet we have carried on as a republic for so long, because we stayed true to the ideals of our founding fathers. The ideas that shaped our struggle against a colonist, against the communalists. But very often did our republic find itself at the verge and it seemed the dreams that freedom fighters saw for our free nation might be too much. Last few months if not years have been like that as well. When we seem to be turning our backs to the principles that defined our country. Principles of unity in diversity. Where so many people from so many different part regions, religions speak so many languages, can live and thrive together. Where different ideas from anywhere is not frowned upon. Where one does not have to fear to speak his/her minds out. Where people from different places and religions were welcomed not just as guests but as God...
