Don’t vote for Communists

They talk of the working labour class. But after election they hit them hard. They promise of building better roads. But what you get is potholed cart ways. They promise of building new factories and new farms. But you would never get factories and the fertile farm lands will be also destroyed. They promise better and free education but you will only get a withered educational infrastructure. Which causes India’s one the most educated state to fall from its position.
No one would I believe would say all these because I have lived through this hell for last six years. Once I was also mesmerised by the ideas of these communists. My whole family supports them. Even two of my uncles have worked so much for them. I believe that all is in the vein. But this is not going to be the same with me. I will not choose fear again like my predecessors had. This the time for change and I will choose the change. That doesn’t mean headless TMC. But someone good will surely come here one day to change but may be till then we have to wait.
I believe Indian democracy have got the worst amount of treat from these guys. They are communist after all. It is my Indian democracy which allows me to write such things against such a cynical party. But if this would have been a communist country then surely this would have been more than a dream. These are the guys who don’t want us to have good relations with USA. Rather they would like us to get behind other countries. They just want to stop our engines of growth and development. In short they are traitors who are with those who acted with us like friend and then back stabbed on our back. They are with armed revolution. We are with non-violent peace marches. They are the one because of whom my cousin has lost two of her babies. They are the one because of whom poor people never get better treatment. I have seen them selling there good for even commonest of medicines. And our medical facilities crumbling to dust. These are the people who are responsible for making our state so horrible. Once which was jewel in the Indian crown is now nothing more than provider of cheap labour.
So this time vote sensibly with two eyes open. Doing so will only meant that that we would save the coming generations from the deadly shadows of communism. Then only will our Indian democracy will be stronger.

Together we can

I liked the idea given by Sulakshana. Why should we all work separately and not together? After all, all of ours projects are related to climate change. We are just tackling it through different fronts. Someone is working for green building, someone in climate finance, someone in awareness etc. But my project has got best of all the worlds. So surely need the help of all you guys out there. But then the one of our Martian Mr. Raghav’s worry is very correct. What I think we should do is we should simply write about what we are doing and let the help flow in. All the things which Raghav says are true and practical. But then we have to make our project impactful. And this work cannot be done alone for sure. So we should focus our energy at not more than ten projects at a time. But surely we can pass suggestions and all to others. For example we in East Zone more precisely ICCs in and around Kolkata have 4 waste management projects so we are doing it together. I also have a waste managemen...

UnIndianing India

Today our Republic turns 70years. In these year we have raised ourselves from ashes of partition and hate, braved conflicts internal and external. Yet we have carried on as a republic for so long, because we stayed true to the ideals of our founding fathers. The ideas that shaped our struggle against a colonist, against the communalists. But very often did our republic find itself at the verge and it seemed the dreams that freedom fighters saw for our free nation might be too much. Last few months if not years have been like that as well. When we seem to be turning our backs to the principles that defined our country. Principles of unity in diversity. Where so many people from so many different part regions, religions speak so many languages, can live and thrive together. Where different ideas from anywhere is not frowned upon. Where one does not have to fear to speak his/her minds out. Where people from different places and religions were welcomed not just as guests but as God...
