First Monthly Evaluation Meet at BC.

It was 12th Aug exactly three months from the my 19th birthday and the date when I sent my project plan. And exactly one month from the date we left for Delhi. Delhi I miss you a lot. 12th is really very lucky for me. I got there way before time cos the train schedules are in a way that if I couldn't have gone at that time I would have reached way late. But thanks to Amitava I didn't got bored. Who with his No Independence Day theory kept me busy. And I am busy with that even today. Well all the guys came at time except Biphasyee Di, Tullika Di, and Vineet.
There was an Interactive session with R A Lohia from Indian Plastic Association. Thanks to Souran da. Then he gave the presentation about his project. Then Mr. Lohia talked about use of plastics. Rather proper use of it. I think someone from the south zone is doing a project on plastics. I think he could use the help. I am very sorry that I have forgot the name of the champ. But it remember it was I guy. And he talked about that during the Rastrapati Bhavan visit. Ok the presentation, and video given by him was very helpful. Even have taken it for showing to municipality. Hopefully they will like it. Apart from that Mrinal Chatterjee of the ICNL ( Institute of Climbers and Nature Lovers also joined us on the meet and gave us very useful and practical ideas relating to our projects. He has also promised to take us on a trip to Suderbans so that we can see how climate change is affecting the people at grass root level. Then came the time when she(our Project Manager) asked from us about our projects. All of us have done great job I must say. Well I really think I should do more. But the problem is that I have done a lot of things from the long term middle term goals but many short term goal are yet to be finished. It is because I have found that the situation have changed a lot in Municipality (due to the last elections) and have become much more productive than before for the Second Phase of my project. Whereas I have found it a bit difficult to do few of the short term goals related to my college. I have finished the carbon footprint calculation. Actually I have done the data collection but Ayan da and mychrollophyl.com will calculate it from us. Therefore I didn't wanted to sit and waste time. So I have started to prepare the ground work for the second phase. I have also made sure that I have proper support from the different governmental and non-governmental agencies for my project.
I must thank British Council here because of them our Municipality is taking my active help in doing the works relating to environment. So what could be better for a 19 year old than making decisions regarding his home town at such a young age. I have got such a confidence working with the political heads that I want to help in any place of any one of yours project where we may need to deal with them.
So bye

Destination Moon - Pallava Bagla, Subhadra Menon

In 2008 Indian Flag was planted on lunar soil. But how did Indian reached their? What started with sending sounding rockets for the benefit of the newly formed developing country ended up being the leading space programme in the world? It gives all the details on how the Indian Space Programme evolved. Starting literally from scratch, and fight foreign embargoes and technology denial regimes it evolved in to country’s if not world finest institution. Back Stabbed 1

I don’t know but it seems that India has a long and still lasting tradition of being stabbed by those people whom India helps. “30th October a day t5hat will live in infamy”. Perhaps this is what FDR would have if he could be our President or perhaps not. Pearl Harbour attack or 9/11 attack on US have happened once in sixty years. But here in India not even six days passes without someone stabbing our nation in its heart, whether they are terrorists, anti-socials or even so-called civilised people. India is been constantly butchered to pieces uncountable. Perhaps these incident happens so occasionally that our honourable PM and President have to appoint all the Booker Prize winners. (I really meat that, the number is very large now.) From last few months the numbers of bomb blasts are increasing and those bad guys have made whole India what Jammu and Kashmir was few years back. I think we are behind these blasts and all. Firstly we can’t elect a responsible government to run world’s ...
