Rome is burning

India for last 63 years has travelled a lot of distance unmatched by any other country and in a way never seen in any other country. But every where we look there is still a lot of work to be done. There are many places where the work has gone terribly wrong. But I want to ask is this all governments responsibility. We take pride in calling our country world’s largest democracy. But we don’t like the burden it brings to us with it. In democracy not one or two people are responsible but we the people are responsible. Today from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, from Gujarat to Assam we face plethora of problem. In the last few weeks we have seen the state of affairs in Kashmir. In the Delhi meet Puneet told me a lot about their great state. But I want to question why all the rights which we can enjoy in our place is not given to them. Are they not living in a free country? Puneet can’t even send SMS. Why is this partiality? Same is for all those Maoist infected places. Are they not citizens of India? Why write in preamble then that we are a Sovereign Secular Socialist Democratic Republic? But is this all done by only the ruling classes. Are we not responsible for atleast some part of these?
I just saw an old film called “Kashmir ki Kali”. The Kashmir of that time seemed to even give Switzerland inferiority complex. But comparing today’s Kashmir with that of todays. I just came up with only three words Rome is Burning. And unfortunately we haven’t even finished building our Rome. In democracy we have to all work for building that Rome. Few groups of people cannot work, while others could go to sleep.
All you guys must have heard about a thing called fundamental Rights. But has any one heard about Article 51A which contains all the fundamental duties. One of them tells us about taking care of our environment. Which we all climate champs are doing. But that same list also has another duty for us that is to render national service when called upon to do so. My family has always tried to do their best for our country. My grandfather fought world’s mightiest empire. Took bullet and still made sure that he contributes in building a new free nation. Three generations of my family have already served in Indian Air force. I am also a member of that family and I have decided today that I will do anything and everything to make my country good, better, and best. And I will not rest till good gets better and better gets best. I will join Indian Armed forces for sure. And after that as a MP of the place will make it one of the best place in the Country economically and still one of the greenest. All the problems which I have faced, the children then won’t even know. And I need a water proof keyboard. And I will not let my Rome burn and listen to music. Well guys today it’s going really long. So I am finishing here but I will end it on Independence Day for sure.
Yes we can, Yes we must, Yes we will.

Destination Moon - Pallava Bagla, Subhadra Menon

In 2008 Indian Flag was planted on lunar soil. But how did Indian reached their? What started with sending sounding rockets for the benefit of the newly formed developing country ended up being the leading space programme in the world? It gives all the details on how the Indian Space Programme evolved. Back Stabbed 1

I don’t know but it seems that India has a long and still lasting tradition of being stabbed by those people whom India helps. “30th October a day t5hat will live in infamy”. Perhaps this is what FDR would have if he could be our President or perhaps not. Pearl Harbour attack or 9/11 attack on US have happened once in sixty years. But here in India not even six days passes without someone stabbing our nation in its heart, whether they are terrorists, anti-socials or even so-called civilised people. India is been constantly butchered to pieces uncountable. Perhaps these incident happens so occasionally that our honourable PM and President have to appoint all the Booker Prize winners. (I really meat that, the number is very large now.) From last few months the numbers of bomb blasts are increasing and those bad guys have made whole India what Jammu and Kashmir was few years back. I think we are behind these blasts and all. Firstly we can’t elect a responsible government to run world’s ...
